| 内容記述 | The purpose of the research was to investigate how well the environment was maintained for children to familiarize themselves with picture books in the elementary school section of special needs education schools, and also to study what teachers thought about the educational effects and necessity of reading picture-books to children with intellectual disabilities. A questionnaire was conducted on 77 teachers, and an interview survey was conducted on three teachers in the elementary school section of special needs education schools. As a result, the survey revealed that even though many of them realized the various educational effects of reading books to children, the higher the children were in grade, the less the frequency of reading to the children became. The teachers also had difficulty making time outside classroom hours for reading to the students due to their tight class schedules. However, this survey suggested that the teachers were making various efforts in selection and method of reading picture-books depending on children' s developmental ages and the purposes of learning, while also considering the difficult reality and the many educational effects that it brings. | |||||||||
