| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study is to clarify how unexpectedly canceled games because of the COVID-19 peril influenced the student athletes who intended to participate in the game as the last one of their university athletic life (= the retirement game), and how they adapted their lives after the athletic retirement to career transition, from the view point of adaptation to career transition and sport socialization. They regarded their senior players who had experienced the retirement games till the previous year as the ideal role model, and wanted to accept their athletic retirement after participating in the retirement games which are needed for smooth retirement because the game is to be a clear goal of their university athletic career. The retirement games have a function of desocialization from the athletic career. Those who anticipated the cancellation of retirement games and had a vision of their lives after athletic retirement, were able to adapt their lives to the career transition. The difficulty of de-trans socialization was seen in one student who continued to take part in practicing sports after athletic retirement. | |||||||||
