| 内容記述 | This report is about the charcoal which was dug up in the special place of historical interest Heijyo Imperial Remain． We researched the charcoal about the quality of it and what kind of tree was used for making it． 1）We knew that the outside and the inner tissue of the charcoal revealed the name of the tree. Using a microscope，we observed the Pore，Tracheid and Ray of it． About the quality of the charcoal，we researched the Volume Weight and Hardness． 2）Through our research，we found the kind of tree．All is the next． The broad leaved tree；Kunugi（Quercus actissima），Konara（Quercusse serrata），Kashi（Quercus myrsinaefolia），Shide（Carpinus thchonoskii），Yamasakura(Prunus Maximowiczii). The coniferous tree；Matu（Pinus densifrola），Hinoki（Chamaecyparis obtusa）． 3）The fifty three persents of the charcoal dug up is made from Kunugi． We recognized this result about each remains where the charcoal had dug up．Namely，they know then，Kunugi was most suitable to make charcoal，we guess． 4）The charcoal dug up is inferior in the Volume Weight and Hardness to the average of now，but it is good charcoal nevertheless． 5）Through our research，we conjecture that the people the age of Heijyo Kyo had much used charcoal，mostly at court． And we guess the charcoal made from Matusumi(Pinus densifrola)was used for working upon metal． | |||||||
