In a typical TL growth curve for pottery sample,the sensitivity increases during irradiation of the first one or two hundred rads and then becomes constant.This initial growth in TL sensitivity is called supralinearity.The degree of supralinearity is measured by the intercept△ The presentinvestigation was undertaken in order to determine the effect of annealing temperature upon the supralinearity correction△.The quartz separated from river sand and sand stone were used as sample.Three portion of quartz extracted from the both samples were annealed at 500℃,700℃ and 900℃,and then the growth curves were recorded after Co-60 gamma irradiation. The result obtained from the experiment is that the supralinearity correction △of the samples annealed at 500,700 and 900℃ are 0~15,50~60 and 80~145rads, respectively |
