| 内容記述 | The present study investigated the effects of graphemic relational information and item-specific informations on incidental learning of Kanji characters. Three Kanji targets of each triplet have a common graphemic part as relational information. Subjects were presented with the Kanji character and with one part of it and asked to rate the proportion that the part of it occupy to the whole Kanji character on a five-point scale followed by a free recall test. Correlation between the recall performances of targets presented with a common part and mean category size as an index of clustering was significant in Experiment 1. This result showed that the graphemic relational information of Kanji character had an effect on the generation process in retrieval. The combined effects of relational and item-specific informations were examined in Experiment 2. Recall performance of targets presented with both relational and item-specific informations was higher than those with relational or item-specific information only. This result showed the additive effect of the graphemic relational and item-specific information on incidental learning. | |||||||
