| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study was to verify Ivey's Developmental Counseling and Therapy assumptions using 83 undergraduate participants whom the experimenter interviewed individually regarding the issue of "three-geration-household." It was assumed that the participants who had experiences of living with extended family members would more likely to respond in various cognitive developmental orientations such as sensorimotor, concrete, formal and dialectic/systemic to the open-ended question on the issue of three-gneration-household, than the participants who had no experience. It was also assumed that the participants would more likely to respond in various cognitive orientations after they were given the audiotaped feedback for their own response to the above issue. After the participants responded to the questions of the experimenter, they were given an answer sheet where the questions intended to facilitate responding in each of four cognitive developmental orientations were asked on the three-generation-household issue. The main results obtained were as follows: The actual experience of living with extended family members did influence response to the questions on the issue of three-generation-household. The participants who had experiences of living with extended family members responded more in various cognitive orientations than the participants who did not have these experiences. The audiotaped feedback, however, did not influence the cognitive developmental orientations. The questions of the answer sheet which was given to the participants after the interview facilitated the participant responses in line with the directed orientations. The clinical implication of these results were discussed. | |||||||||
