| 内容記述 | Autistic children exhibit a variety of severe problems in acquiring the spoken language, and the increase in chronological age without acquiring language is liable to cause aimless behaviour, stereotyped movement, sameness and autistic tendency. Language acquisition is one of the most important practical problems in their education. In a previous study, we examined the process of language acquisition in an autistic girl for seven years, which she was from 6 to 13 years old. This study is one of a series of studies attempting to clarify the problems of language development in autistic children. In the present research, we attempted to analyze the problems of the prehnguistic communicative functions in autistic children. In study 1, we compared the percentages of passing between autistic and mentally retarded children in the period of spoken language acquisition for the items of Kyoto Scale of Psychological Development. In study 2, we analyzed the development of gestural imitation on a foundation for the acquisition of language in autistic and mentally retarded children. The results indicated that the problem of language development in autistic children was thought to be especially serious in their prelinguistic communicative abilities such as "empathy", "joint attention", "objects of comtemplation" and "distancing". On the basis of these results, we discussed the problem of language development in autistic children from the viewpoint of the development of pragmatic communicative functions. | |||||||||
