The subjects were 40 five-year-old nursery school children. They were divided into two groups : the reading group (group 1) and the non-reading group (group 2). The experimental materials used were three picture books sutable for reading aloud to children, and emotion comprehension tests. At the beginning of the experiment, the children of both groups were subjected to the emotion comprehension tests. The reading group then had each of the three picture books read to them twice, giving a total of six readings. After the readings, the two groups were again subjected to the emotion tests. The main findings were as follows : 1. The reading group attained higher scores than the non-reading group in the second emotion comprehension tests. 2. Scores pertainning to feeling of pleasure were higher than those of sadness or fear. 3. Scores pertainning to feelings of feer were lower than those of preasure or sadness. The results suggest clearly that the reading aloud of picture books to children is an effective way of developing a child's emotion comprehension capacity.}, pages = {235--245}, title = {幼児の心情理解に及ぼす絵本の読み聞かせの効果}, volume = {43}, year = {1994} }
