| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study is to investigate and make a statistical analysis of correlation between the maternal bringing-up attitude and the physical growth of children. The analyzed objects were 928 pairs of mother and child (235 of 4 months old, 215 of 10 months old, 254 of 18 months old and 244 of 42 months old). Babies and infants were given medical examinations for weight and height, and mothers were questioned on their ten most important bringing-up attitudes by questionnaire. The children were separated into three groups (underdevelopment, normal, and over-development) according to their degree of physical development, and the three groups were compared with each other from the point of mean of various maternal attitudes. The results were as follows: 1. Maternal bringing-up attitudes were found to be correlated with the degree of development of the children. 2. The maternal excessive attitude of positive refusal was found to be correlated with the underdevelopment of children at the age of 48 months. 3. Maternal bringing-up attitudes were proved to be different according to the sex of the children. 4. It was suggested that the babyhood underdevelopment had been caused by psychosomatic diseases. | |||||||||
