| 内容記述 | The first purpose of present study were to develop the children's scale for assessing individual differences in memory activities and to investigate the relationship between the memory activities assessed by the above scale and the memory performances. The subjects were 132 forth, 121 fifth and 126 sixth graders. They were asked to respond a list of 28 statements representing retrieval failure, internal strategies, external strategies and confidence in memory ability. Multiple regression indicated that the above scale explained 7～20% of free recall performances and 4～9% of digit recall ones in all graders. Factor analyses yielded three factors which corresponded to retrieval failure, confidence in memory ability and memory strategies. The second purpose of this study was to investigate the developmental changes in memory activities assessed by the above scale. The results showed that children were likely to perceive retrieval failure and to be less confident in memory ability as they grew older and that there were no developmental changes in both internal and external strategies. | |||||||
