内容記述 The process of speech generation generally comprises the following five separate stages: perception, discrimination and reorganization, thought generation, recoding, and vocalization. In order to promote the learning of speech it is urgently needed to specify in the first place the teaching and learning points in each of the five stages of speech generation process and then observe them in actual teaching. Above all, special emphasis should be placed on the third stage of thought generation. This paper proposes a general framework of the theory of speech learning. 1. Learning and Teaching Activities for Enhancing Functional Ability in Speech (1) Practice in speaking clearly and comprehending correctly (2) Practice in speaking and comprehending logically (3) Practice in speaking expressively and comprehending expressiveness in others' speech 2. Learning and Teaching Activities for Enhancing Speech Proficiency (4) Practice in pronunciation and vocalization (5) Practice in the standard language (6) Practice in honorifics (7) Study of speech grammar 3. Learning and Teaching Activities for Promoting Speech Activities (8) Practice for furthering dialog skills (9) Practice for furthering conversation skills (10) Practice for furthering monolog skills (11) Practice for furthering general speech proficiency 4. Other Learning and Teaching Activities for Improving Speech Proficiency (12) Practice of speech in the beginning stage (13) Practice in reading aloud (14) Compiling texts for speech learning (15) Developing a curriculum for speech learning The task to be completed in further research is to integrate these varying activities into a coherent curriculum so that it becomes possible to provide speech learning and teaching sensitive to the developmental stages of the learners.
