| 内容記述 | We think that nail clippers are easy for elementary school teachers who are not good at teaching science to use as a teaching tool because they are familiar to the students and their mechanism is not complex. We examined whether elementary school students are aware of the usefulness of science through learning the mechanism of the nail clippers. The principle of levers was taught only to the experimental group through understanding the mechanism of nail clippers. It was not taught to the control group. As a result of this experiment, the students in the experimental group showed significantly higher score in the question,“ Are levers useful in our daily life?” than those in the control group. Therefore, we concluded that teaching elementary school students the mechanism of nail clippers could promote the students’ awareness of usefulness of lever class. |
