奈良教育大学高畑キャンパスにおいて1990年と2020年に行われた樹木の計測調査のデータを利用して樹木の地上部炭素蓄積量を推定した。樹幹のうち1990年の637本 (39.1%) と2020年の5,368本 (100%) の樹高データが未測定だったので、拡張相対成長式を適用して樹高を推定し、胸高直径と樹高から全樹幹の乾燥重量を推定した。調査地 (13.6 ha) の地上部現存量は128.0 Mg (1990年) と305.5 Mg (2020年)、炭素蓄積量は64.0 Mg-C (4.7 Mg-C/ha, 1990年) と152.8 Mg-C (11.2 Mg-C/ha, 2020年) と推定された。奈良教育大学高畑キャンパスの炭素蓄積量は30年間で88.8 Mg-C増加し (+2.96 Mg-C/年)、約2.4倍になった。 |

The above-ground carbon stocks in trees were estimated using the data of the tree measurement conducted in 1990 and 2020 at the Takabatake campus of Nara University of Education in Nara, Japan. Since the height data for 637 stems (39.1%) in 1990 and 5,368 stems (100%) in 2020 was not measured, the expanded allometric function was applied to estimate the tree height, and the dry weights of the entire tree stems were estimated from the breast height diameter and height. The above-ground biomass in this study area (13.6 ha) was estimated to be 128.0 Mg (1990) and 328.4 Mg (2020), and the carbon stocks were estimated to be 64.0 Mg-C (4.7 Mg-C/ha, 1990) and 152.8 Mg-C (11.2 Mg-C/ha, 2020). Carbon stocks in the Takabatake campus of Nara University of Education increased by 88.8 Mg-C over 30 years (+2.96 Mg-C/year), an increase of approximately 2.4 times.
