They are also known to have poor feeding conditions. We analyzed the reproductive traits of female sika deer under these conditions. Of the 239 individuals investigated, age specific pregnancy rate was 4.3% at age 1, 58.8% at age 2, and approximately 60% at age 3 or older. The sex ratio of fetuses was almost 1:1, and one twin pregnancy out of 149. The date of conception was estimated to be from September to December based on the weight of the fetus, and calving from May to September. The 50% pregnancy probability weight was estimated to be 35.1 kg based on the weight of the female from February to April, and the 50% pregnancy probability kidney fat index was estimated to be 19.3 for Riney’s kidney fat index.
