| 内容記述 | Today, the spread of social media has enabled any children’s parents to casually post photos, videos, and other materials on various platforms. One problem associated with this is “sharenting,” a word created from “share” and “parenting.” The purpose of this study is to identify the status of social media use by parents of children. We will also examine the relationship between the frequency of “sharenting” and the following psychological factors of parents: (1) awareness of privacy, (2) recognition of risks associated with sharing of information, (3) understanding of children’s rights, (4) desire for praise and approval, and (5) a feeling of loneliness. We conducted a questionnaire survey and received answers from 196 respondents comprising 152 mothers and 44 fathers. The survey found that approximately 80% of the fathers and 90% of the mothers had engaged in sharenting. An especially large proportion engaged in “sharenting, but to family and friends only.” An analysis found that when mothers used social media that restricted the sharing of content to family and friends, the lower their recognition of risks, the lower their understanding of children’s rights, and the higher their desire for praise and approval, the more they engaged in sharenting. Moreover, when parents engaged in “sharenting limited to specific people,” there was a relation between the frequency of mothers’ sharenting behavior and their awareness of privacy. “A feeling of loneliness” was unrelated to the frequency of sharenting behavior. Going forward, parents and teachers must consider methods of social media use that carry fewer risks while protecting children’s rights. | |||||||||
