The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of camp therapy toward going-to-school behavior of students who had experienced non-attendant at school. An approach based on behavior therapy was used to observe the behavior before, during, and after the camp and to design camp programs. Three students who had experienced non-attendance at school and restarted going to school were participated at five-day adventure camp including team building activities, natural historical trip, ２-day canoe expedition, and campfire etc. Three camp counselors who major outdoor education observed their target behavior and recorded them during the camp as well as instructed camp programs. On the other hand, two university students who major clinical psychology assessed them before and after the camp. The analysis of observation showed an improvement of target behavior during the camp and an increase and maintenance of going-to-school behavior after the camp. |
