| 内容記述 | We can think about critical traditions in education as a social room of different groupings of people. At the one end of the room taking up the most space are the various groups of people who practice a pragmaticempiricism. They are concerned with "useful" knowledge and spend a lot of time taking about the procedures of measurement and rules for collecting data. At a different end of room are different groupings of critical researchers. The critical research empirically investigates how schools work, but that interest focuses on problems of social inequity and injustice produced through the practice of schooling. This distinction about the term "critical" is forcefully argued in this paper, interrogating traditions of "critical thinking" compared to "critical pedagogy. | |||||||
