This study focused on the optical spectra and the STM spectrum in a single crystal of BaBiO_3. Optical conductivity shows that the mixed valence or the polaron occurs. The STM spectrum at room temperature shows that the distribution of a surface charge density seems arrange very regularly. Our research leads as to conclude that there is direct evidence that a charge density wave state may be found in the electronic structure of BaBiO_3 |
