| 内容記述 | It has been pointed out that in modern Japanese society, where a decrease in the number of children per family has become a major issue, young people are less likely to establish a good relationships with others and more likely to be frustrated with their lives. This study focuses on adolescent sibling relationships, since it is assumed that they are closely related to such problems. The subjects of the research are high school students. The research attempts to clarify, on the basis of a dyad relationships as the analysis unit, the structure of sibling relationships and how these relationships effect social skills and self-esteem. Relationships with closest-felt siblings are classified into five categories and are analysed according to there sex and birth order. Finally, it was found that an active interaction between and among siblings, and a good relationship, helps promote one's social skills and the development of one's self. In conclusion, it is suggested that adolescent sibling relationships may have an importance throughout one's entire life. | |||||||||
