The music appreciation that students perceive through works of music, the performance of musicians, the elements of music, aesthetic qualities and the understanding of the culture in a musical background has been practiced for a long time. However, this method has lacked in deriving the meaning from music, giving value to music and generating the value in students internally. That is to say, music appreciation has been considered to be passive instead of creative. However, we disagree with this idea. So, we developed a new method of music appreciation through which students can internalize musical value and meaning. This method is "dialogue". We think "dialogue" in a music appreciation class is vital in helping students to critically assess and evaluate music. So we tried to do the music appreciation class in dialogue at the high school in Osaka and to analyze the students' language. The results confirmed the validity and importance of dialogue in music appreciation class and some conditions for Generation of Music to Internal World. Firstly, a facilitator makes a sociable atmosphere in which students can speak and think freely. Secondly, the facilitator has the ability to advance conversation. The selection of music work is the third factor. Most importantly, teachers should not teach the value and the meaning of music before students have an opportunity to independently appreciate music through free and creative thinking. After the process of independent perception, teachers can then instruct students about the relevant concepts relating to the music.}, pages = {135--144}, title = {音楽鑑賞における「内的世界の生成」とその教育方法としての「対話」 : 高等学校芸術科音楽において}, volume = {55}, year = {2006} }
