| 内容記述 | Fagus crenata forest and some natural forests were phytosociologically studied in Okuyoshino Experiment Forest, Education Center for Natural Environment, Nara University of Education. The vegetation units abstracted were as follows : 1) Rhododendron metternichii var. hondoense-Chamaecyparis obtusa community. The community is characterized by the dominance of Rhododendron metternichii var. hondoense in the shrub and subtree layers. This is partially distributed on the east ridge in the area. 2) Hydrangeo sikokiani-Pterocaryetum rhoifoliae Sasaki, Ya. in Miyawaki 1982. The surveyed forest stands belong to the association : Hydrangeo sikokiani-Pterocaryetum rhoifoliae by the occurrence of Panax japonicus, Paeonia japonica and Cacalia tebakoensis, although they are not dominated by Pterocarya rhoifolia. The forest stand in "Tochmoki Corridor" (alt. 800m) includes an enormous tree of Aesculus turbinata. The forest one m "Shakuyaku Valley" (alt. 900m) is abundantly covered by Paeonia japonica, and also accompanied with rare species (e. g. Deinanthe bifida and Ancistrocarya japonica) on the forest floor. 3) Sapio japonici-Fagetum crenatae Sasaki, Yo. 1970. Fagus crenata forest remains around top of Mt. Shimizu (alt. 1186.2m). The forest belongs to the association : Sapio japonici-Fagetum crenatae by the occurrence of Lindera Sericea var. glabrata, Styrax shiraiana and Parabenzoin trilobum. Particular attention was not given to the changes in the floristic composition after the simultaneous death (1994) of Sasa and Sasamorpha in the undergrowth. | |||||||
