内容記述 The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of the objective factors in physical education class without the teaching skills of teachers on the results of the ALT - PE observation system (the instrument analysing the student behaviors in physical education class) and the student evaluation toward physical education class. The following variables were selected as the factors in a physical education class ; 1 ) activity (subject matter) 2 ) sex of students 3 ) size of class (number of students) 4) length of class (1 school hour or 2 school hours) 5) place of class (outdoor or indoor). The subjects were 81 physical education classes instructed by 9 physical education teachers of 5 junior high schools in Nara Prefecture. Main findings are as follows. 1 ) The results of ALT-PE system were affected by the kind of activities (subject matters). Volleyball tends to increase the rate of ALT-PE. But the rates of such categories, as "movement engaged" and "ALT of motor activity" become fewer because of increasing the frequency of "interim" and "indirect activity" in the game. Track and field activity has the tendency to make the rates of "movement engaged", "ALT-PE". "ALT of motor activity" lessen rather than the others. In Gymnastics, we could recognize the better results of ALT-PE system than other activities. In relation to student evaluation, however, the significant differences were not found among three activities. 2 ) Both of the size of class and the place of class had the considerable influence on the results of ALT-PE system. But the student evaluations were not influenced by them. 3) The length of class also affected the results of ALT-PE system. 2 hours class had the better results of ALT-PE system and the student evaluation toward the class.
