KL14-4A was crossed with a strain, C814-36B, that could not grow on the medium containing the same concentration of the drug. Examination of the zygore progeny indicated that somatic segregation had occurred for the characters of resistance and sensitivity to the drug. Assay of ascospores from the diploid clones of the two strains indicated that the genetic character as well as the mitochondrial paromomycm resistance, was irregularly segregated during meiosis.
