| 内容記述 | The purpose of the present study is to examine the relative importance and the effect of the attitude and personality similarity in interpersonal attraction. 180 female junior-college students served as subjects. They responded to Attitude Survey, Personality Rating Form, and Attraction Rating Form. The experiment was conducted in classroom groups and in two parts, Session 1 and Session 2. In Session 1, attitude and personality measures were gathered, and in Session 2, one week later, attraction toward stimulus persons was rated. Main findings were as follows: (1) Both attitude similarity and personality similarity were sources of interpersonal attraction, in all attraction measures and IJS. (2) In all criteria except "study" criterion and in IJS, the effct of attitude similarity or personality similarty was observed most evidently when the other one was similar. When one of them was dissimilar, the effct of similarity in the other was never observed, or attitude similarity only was observed a little. These results may be interpreted to show that the effect of attitude similarity and that of personality similarity operate dynamically, influencing each other, and that the effect of attitude similarity is a little greater than that of personality similarity. The obtained results were compared with those reported in earlier studies and some discussion was made in regard to the agreements and discrepancies together with a few suggestions for further analysis. | |||||||||
