| 内容記述 | In tephrochronological description major element composition of volcanic glass shard is the most basic characteristics same as its refractive index and color. Up to the present time many tephrochronologists intended volcanic ash correlation with the aid of ordinary chemical analysis. But many of them had got dissatisfaction on their original aim. Their failures are attributed to adoption of bulk analysis. In volcanic glass analysis this method is imperfect because of imposibility of elimination of contaminants. The present author attempted volcanic glass identification and analyzed its major element composition with an energy dispersive x-ray microanalytical technique. Over fifty EDX spectra were acquired with the grain by grain method. In this time quantitative results on Na, Mg, Al, Si, K, Ca, Ti and Fe were obtained andshowed as oxide in chemical formula with normalization. The present analytical results tell us statistical and methodological efficiencies for volcanic glass identification. | |||||||
