| 内容記述 | Probability distribution of failure times and cracking times of stress corrosion cracking in Cu-40%Zn (α+β brass) under constant applied stress (80%, 60%, 50% or 40% of the yield stress) in Mattsson's solutions of pH 6.5, 7.0, 7.5 and 8.5 has been analysed as the Weibull distribution and compared with the results of Cu-35%Zn alloy (α brass) reported formerly. Single and composite Weibul distributions were found in the distribution of failure times, but in the distribution of cracking times only single Weibull distribution was found for α+β brass as similary as for α brass. Median failure times and median cracking times of α+β brass were shorter than of α brass in the pH of 6.5 and 7.0, but in the pH of 7.5 and 8.5 opposite phenomena were found. Shape parameters of failure time and cracking time vs pH and applied stress were found for α+β brass as similarly as for α brass. It seems to be that β phase precipitated along grain boundaries in α+β brass accelates the intergranular cracking, but β phase precipitated in grains delays the stress corrosion cracking time in the transgranular cracking type which depends upon the pH of solution. | |||||||
