| 内容記述 | The purpose of this paper is to explain the functions of new media (which have been current topics), and their effects on education. It is a characteristic feature that new media are mainly combined with telephone, television and computer. They are classified into two types, namely, broadcasting-motion picture system and still-picture system. Out of them, some media are taken up for discussion, such as broadcasting satellite, a university of the air, cable television and videotex. In what condition are they at present, and what rolls have they played in education? New media have expanded notably educational opportunities for the people and produced curriculums to meet a variety of individual needs for learning. This means that they make good the deficiency of mass media from the nature of one way communication for unspecinc majority. In addition, they will probably reform current educational system. Through the levels of development of receivers the abilities to process information must be trained, especially at school for coping with social changes above mentioned. As a topic for further discussion, legal regulation of new media is to be considered. | |||||||
