内容記述 This paper deals with the teaching methods for beginners' volleyball class. By analyzing the various ideas on teaching methods of volleyball, three models of the teaching methods were selected. The characteristics of each model were as follows. Model "A" was (1) the game-centered learning, (2) underhand pass-centereed exercise, and (3) the teacher-oriented small group learning. Model "B" was (1) the personal skill-centered teaching (especially stressed on overhand pass-exercise) and (2) the teacher-oriented class instruction. Model "C" was (1) the combination skill-centered exercise (group exercise of toss-spike) and (2) the small group learning (student-teacher planning method). In order to evaluate these models, the skill test and the investigations of the attitude to physical education class and of the favorite attitude to volleyball were made in the firstyear classes of junior hight school. The major findings are as follows. (1) Model "A" attained the greatest learning result. Personal skills were developed and rally times in games were most frequent. The attitude score to physical education class and the favorite attitude to volleyball increased most. (2) Model "B" was attained the lowest learing result. Though the personal skills were most developed, they were not efficiently used in games. The attitude score, especially concerning the items of human relationship decreased. The favorite attitude to the subject matter increased less than others. (3) In Model "C", personal skills were not so well developed and rally times in games were least frequent. The times of spike in games were most frequent and the quality of games seemed the highest. With respect to the attitude score and the favorite attitude, it was better than "B", but worse than "A".
