内容記述 A brief review of previous studies on the effects of reinforcement schedules upon verbal conditioning suggested that (1) in most studies adults were used as subjects, (2) in the Greenspoon type task partial reinforcement was introduced after acquisition trials, while in the Taffel type task partial reinforcement was used from the beginning of acquisition trials, and (3) in most studies with the Greenspoon type task physical reinforcements were used, while in many studies with the Taffel type task verbal reinforcements were used. Considering these suggestions, two experiments using a similar procedure were performed to examine the effects of the partial reinforcement schedules upon verbal conditioning in a Taffel type task with the procedure changing from continuous reinforcement to partial reinforcement. In Experiment I elementary school children were used as the subjects, and in Experiment II undergraduates were used. On the bases of 26 0perant responses, the critical response of each subject was determined. In Experiment I positive reinforcement (right) was given for every critical responses and negative reinforcement (wrong) for the non-critical responses during acquisition trials. The learning was continued to a criterion of 6 critical responses out of 10 trials. Then the partial reinforcement schedule was induced through next 40 trials. Only the positive reinforcement was used in these trials and the subject was assigned to either one of lO0%, 67%, 33%, or 0% reinforcement schedules. After these reinforcement schedules, 20 extinction trials were given. The main results in Experiment I were as follows: (a) in the partial reinforcement trials performances in lOO% and 67% reinforcement groups were superior to those in 33% and 0% reinforcement groups, (b) in the extinction trials the 100% and 67% reinforcement groups showed steeper decrement of performance, (c) performance in 33% reinforcement group was superior to that in O% reinforcement group in partial reinforcement trials, and (d) the performance in 33% reinforcement group was maintained through extinction trials. The results in Experiment II were similar to Experiment I. These results suggest that the effect of partial reinforcement schedule after continuous reinforcement in the Taffel type task was in line with previous studies.
