The analysis of the volcanic ashes of Osaka group was done by energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry in order to obtain the chemical compositional features of the volcanic ashes of Osaka group. It was found that the volcanic ashes had the following features, compared with the clays. (1) The quantities of Sr, Ca and K were rich in the volcanic ashes. (2) The Rb content was correlated with the K, and the Sr content was also with the Ca in the volcanic ashes. The slope of these correlative straight line was larger than that of the clays. (3) The Ti content was correlated with the Fe content in the volcanic ashes, although the clays had not such a relationship. |
