| 内容記述 | (1) A number of the small insects belonging to Phoridae, harboring the mature cysticercoid of Hymenolepsis rashomonensis, were found in the small intestine of the cave bat, Rhinolophus ferrumequinum, captured on November 2, 1975, in Ja-no-ana located at Yoshiicho, Kozuki-gun, Okayama Prefecture. (2) The small insect is about2mm in length, and its body is pretty digested by digestive enzyme of a bat, so the identification of species is impossible. (3) The cysticercoid is 0.280 to 0.315 mm in length and 0.210 to 0.301 mm in width. The broader end in front has a conspicuous invaginated groove, extending into the central cavity of the pouch body. A number of calcareous corpsucle are scattered on the surface of out cyst. The cysticercoid is entirely encapsulated by a thin transparent membrane. The invaginated larval scolex has four suckers and two pairs of glandular portion, harboring viscid droplets. (4) The life history of H. rashomonensis is summarized as follows ; R. ferrumequinum, just before hibernating and just after hibernating, eats the small insect belonging to Phoridae (cysticercoid-infected intermediate host), swarming on bat's guano in a cave, as a result, the bat is infected with H. rashomonensis. During an inactive period of a bat, a number of minute larval tapeworms which evaginated from cysts survived in the intestinal mucosa of a bat. Late in March, when an eating action of a bat out of a cave become active, nutriments, flowing in a bat's small intestine, gradually increase. The minute larval tapeworm absorbs the nutriments and grow into the mature tapeworm by May or June. Since then, till the latter part of October the mature tapeworm continues to release several senile segments, harboring a number of mature onchospheres. | |||||||
