| 内容記述 | The Education Ministry will probably enter into the drowing up of a new course of study about next summer. The writers criticize the present course of study and propose a view-point for "industrial studies" which approaches the essence of the latest Japanese economic society and a model of the expansion. In this paper, Kikuchi takes charge of "a view - point for industrial studies" centering around the social studies in an elementary school, and Ushiro does "a model of the expansion" fundamentally standing on his view- point under their common problem consciousness and within a framework of the public education which observes a political neutrality. The view -point for "industrial studies" proper to social studies of the latest Japanese economic society should be as follows. Pupils not only have a correct understanding of the actual conditions of some main industries in parts of Japan, but recognize those industries as enterprising activities under capital logic, namely the pursuit of profits. And it is to be desired that they become aware of the existence of competition, antagonism and contradiction relations in the present capitalism society through "industrial studies" in social studies. Particularly in "public nuisance studies", the effects and meanings of an inhabitants' movement should be properly appreciated andunderstood even though it is contrary to our representative democracy. The following points have to be heeded in case of the concrete expansion of "industrial studies", (a) expansion of dynamic studies based on some comparisons between old and new data, (b) cultivation of their scientific cognitive faculty through the deep consideration of historic and social conditions, (c) selection of teaching materials, (d) developing their knowledge of competition, antagonism, contradiction relations and so on as well as mutual connections among regions and industries in our society, (e) building up vivid and imaginative studies, (f) making them acquire the scholarship which will be of great use in their lives, (g) arranging for studies to make them draw a fine picture of their future. | |||||||||
