| 内容記述 | Rofu Miki (born in 1889; ded in 1964) In 1901 Rofu set off to compose Haiku, being inspired by Mr.Nanro Matsumoto, newly appointed teacher to his school, Tatsuno Higer Primary School, when he was a third grade pupil there. He issued a leaflet, the 'Shoen' for circulation among his brothers, cousins, and friends in his neighborhood. In 1902 this literary circle was named 'Hakushi-kai' after the beautiful scenery of 'Tatsuno'. The activity of the circle was chiefly in Haiku, but afterwards included poetry and prose, too. In 1903 he entered the Tatsuno Prefectural Middle School in Hyogo, and widened his activity among the boys of his new school. He presided over two circles, one being 'Hizakura-kai' devoted to poetry, the other being 'Kakikuri- kai' to Haiku. But in proportion as his literary activities increased, his eagerness in this field brought his poor grades in lessons at school, and he was obliged to move into a private middle school, 'Shizutani-ko', situated at Iri-Village, Wake District, Okayama Prefecture. This research deals with the members of these three literary circles along with the concrete description of their activities. | |||||||
