| 内容記述 | The object of this paper is to draw parallels and points of contrast between the cycle views of Veblen and Keynes. Veblen emphasizes that crises, depressions, and brisk times are in their first incidence phenomena of business, of prices and capitalization. Keynes expresses the essence of his cycle views as follows: The Trade Cycle is best regarded as being occasioned by a cyclical change in the marginal efficiency of capital, though complicated and often aggravated by associated changes in the other significant short-period variables of the economic system. In certain areas their tenets overlap; in others they tend to diverge markedly, although in some instances the differences are largely terminological. Veblen's cycle theory has many things which are supplementary to Keynes's. | |||||||
