| 内容記述 | The basic aim of the Montessori method is to free the indivdual child's potential for self-development in a prepared environment. The role of the teacher is to provide an attractive and responsive environment to be acted upon directly by the child and to ensure that this setting is properly maintained. Montessori requires the man who works in a Montessori school the internationally recognized diploma because of it's original educational theory and practice. I asked Montessori teacher training courses in U.S.A. to send me some data about their programs. In this paper I intend to examine them from several points of view. In addition to the requirement of a bachelor's degree, the training of a Montessori teacher requires the completion both of a special Montessori training program and experience as a working intern at a qualified Montessori school under direct supervision of a qualified teacher. The emphasis on learning under actual conditions is intended to produce a teacher sensitive to the needs of young children. A prime goal is the recognition of individual needs by the teacher and the ability to introduce materials and ideas at the right moment. | |||||||
