| 内容記述 | Recently in Japan the population decrease in village and its increase in city have become very remarkable. In Nara Prefecture, especially in its southern Yoshino district the circumstances are the same, and thus this Yoshino district is becoming the so-called depopulation area. On 1, Oct. 1971 Gojo-shi, 3 Yoshino-cho, 10 mura in Yoshino-gun (fig. 1) have organized the Conference of the Project about Rurban Areas of Southern Yamato (Nara), and intend to exchange their information about the making and enforcement of the project. Then all the communities in Gojo-Yoshino district have planned adjustment of interest among them to achieve development and prosperity as a whole. Based upon the field survey and the statistical data the author studied about the population (tab. 1 & 3), the land utilization (tab. 2), the industrial status (tab. 4～6) and so on in Gojo-Yoshino district. The results of the study are as follows: 1. Since the northern part of the district including Gojo-shi and 3 Yoshino-cho is situated in the circle of Osaka city region, it has a tendency to be urbanized. But the other parts have the problem of depopulation. 2. The district occupies 63.6% of the whole Nara Prefecture in area, but has only 12.9% of it in population. All the mura excluding Shimokitayama-mura are designated by the prefecture as the depopulation areas. 3. The industries of the district consist mainly of the forestry known as "Yoshino Forestry" and wood-manufacturing related to it. But recently inland light industries have risen in the northern part of the district. 4. The development of sight-seeing resources is the most urgent issue facing this district. | |||||||
