| 内容記述 | The present study represents an attempt to explore, with respect to the personality dimension of repression-sensitization, the effect of social desirability on similarity-attraction relationship. Subjects were 20 repressors and 20 sensitizers drawn from an original sample of 120 freshmen of Nara University of Education. Behavior characteristics for the two bogus strangers were prepared in the pamphlet form, and subjects were requested to evaluate the two persons on several rating scales. Main findings were as follows: (1) In general, the similarity-attraction relationship held. (2) Expected significant interaction was not obtained between repression-sensitization and six rating situations. (3) The interaction between repression-sensitization and perceived similarity to stimulus person was highly significant. | |||||||
