| 内容記述 | The selling of commodities and services by business firms to other businesses is generally conducted on a credit basis. No manufacturer, wholesaler, or other business enterprise can expect to follow a general policy of selling on credit without having some bad-debt losses. In all business enterprises it is desirable to eliminate this credit risk. Credit insurance is the guaranteeing by the insurer, of the losses sustained by the insured resulting from the debtor's inability to pay obligations arising from the sale, shipment and delivery of merchandise or perfomance of a service. This type of insurance is distinct from consumer credit insurance where the debtors are consumers buying on credit or borrowing money. It is commercial credit insurance. In Japan, there is no company writing commercial credit insurance. But, in the United States, there are two companies offering this service. The object of this paper is to examine the basic features of commercial credit insurance in the United States, and its functions. | |||||||
