| 内容記述 | Though the modernization of the school mathematics has been promoted in the area of algebra, probability and statistics and so on, there are left many problems unsettled in the area of Euclidesn geometry. To solve some of these problems, the author made a research, in this paper, on the following subjects : (1). Perry movement and others. (2). Outline of some typical programs of improvement that has been reported in various country. (3). Mathematics of Greeks (represented by Euclid), of recent times (represented by Pascal and Descartes) and of to-day, surveyed from the standpoint of "intuition and logic", because the improvement of geometry teaching is connected closely with the interrelation of "intuition and logic". As for elemenents (of Euclid), the author pointed out that the construction should be appreciated not merely as "proof of existence", but also as "proof of consistency". The conclusion of this paper can be stated briefly with the following slogan, i.e. we must appreciate geometric idea rather than geometry itself. The details of this conclusion and the concrete plans of teaching will be shown in the next paper, and there the relation of logical thinking and axiomatic thinking will also be discussed. | |||||||
