| 内容記述 | In the Paleozoic Chichibu system of the central part of the Kii mountainland reports on fossils are few, but on the contrary many occurrences of fossils are reported from both sides of this peninsula, the Shima and the Yura districts. The present author found some fossils, including Schwagerina sp., in the Dorogawa limestone which had been thought as inorganic origin for a long time. As it is impossible that the identification of the present species of Schwagerina, the geologic age of the limestone may be safely supposed to be the Permian. The present paper reports the occurrence of fossils in the limestone and the geology of the district. | |||||||
