| 内容記述 | To test the statistical significance of differences of several arithmetic means, the analysis of variance is usually done first. And after obtaining the result that over-all F ratio is significant, t-tests using error variance as the denominator are applied, however large the differences of means to be tested may be. But the application of these i-tests is to be restricted only to such casewhere means differ by two ordered steps. To test the differences of means that differ by three or more ordered steps, it is advisable to use the "Multiple range test" such as Newman-Keuls' method or Duncan's New Multiple Range Test. | |||||||
