| 内容記述 | In the early stages of the historical development of vocational guidance, a form of guidance where the director played a most prominent part was prevalent. Recently, however, more emphasis came to be placed on the self-guidance of the directed, the director assisting him intentionally and continuously. Vocational counseling constitutes the center of the 6 areas in vocational guidance. In individual counseling, there are directive, non-directive, and ecletic counseling. In directive counseling, the counselor introduces such cognitive elements as private information and vocational information into the counseling process. On the other hand, in vocational counseling where self-understanding and self-guidance on the part of the client are emphasized, it raises some questions to give various kinds of information directly to the client from the counselor. In this paper, the author tried to describe how to deal with those cognitive elements mentioned above in order that the client may decide his own vocation for himself. | |||||||
