| 内容記述 | This is a report onhow the weight of stems and branches is distributed on stems and branch foliages by the height, what difference in this distribution there is among kinds of Sugi, and what effect the slope of the earth has upona tree. 1. The experimental forest is in KASUYA forests of the Kyushu University. 2. The proportions of the weight of stems and that of branches are as follows; Hon-sugi 6 : 4, Measa 7 : 3 and Yabukuguri 7 : 3. 3. The weight of stems which is distributed by the height gradually decreases toward the top from the foot of a tree. 4. The weight of branches and foliages which is distributed by the height is the heaviest at the part of the longest branches and gradually becomes lighter toward both the up and down, about the height of the heaviest part of branches Hon-Sugi is low, and Measa and Yabukuguri are rather high. 5. At each height of a tree, the total weight of stems and branches is inversely proportional to the weight of stems and directly proportional to that of branches. 6. About trees at slopes, generally, there is a difference in Crowntype between the upside and the downside of the slope of a tree. In comparison with the weight of stems and that of foliages, it is found that the weight of the downside is heavier than that of the upside. Especially, this difference is remarkable in case of Measa and Yabukuguri and not so much in case of Honsugi. | |||||||
