| 内容記述 | Daimokudate" of Kamifukawa, Tsuge Village, Nara Prefecture is attracting general attention now as a unique folk entertainment. Historical studies have been so far made of it, though not adequately, but in the musical sphere no attention has been paid to it. An investigation has, therefore, been made of it by the present writer. The songs of this musical dance requiring a lot of time in its performance are sung without any accompaniment, and the greater part of them is composed of soli made in turn by several singers who take their own parts therein. Such being the case, the singing melody has become a precious subject of musical studies. As shown in Tables 1 and 2, its campus is perfect fifth and its tones are limited to four. The type of the melody is as a general rule divided into a, b, c, d, and their variations. The unit of the melodical construction of each line consists of 5 - 17 words, while d, a, b, c is the base of the phraseological formation. This forms the total element of all the lines. According as the number of words in each group of words gets increased, the repetition of a, b or their variations are set in between b and c, with the result that every line forms the basic unit of the melodical construction; throughout the melody, that is, at the beginning, in the middle, and at the end of it, no changes in construction can be observed. And moreover, it has been found that no accents of words affect the composition of the melody. | |||||||
