| 内容記述 | For measuring the drag against a moving body in water, a long water pool or tank is generally used. But in this case, the material to be tested must be moved at high speed in the weter. If it is possible that the material can be placed on a fixed point in the stream of water caused by turning screw in such a method as it is carried out in the wind tunnel, the measurment will be very convenient. But in case that the stream line of water is caused in such a way as above-mentioned, the flow becomes turbulent, so that the measurment will be difficult. However the newly-devised type of rotating water tank makes the flow regular circulating stream without turbulence at all. Consequently the material to be tested can be fixed on the optional point in this tank and the measurment of the drag by a simple balance and the observation of the phenomena around it will be possible without difficulty. | |||||||
