Visual materials of electronic distributions in molecules are made for chemistry. Distributions are illustrated by the use of the perspective diagrams of the electron density and contour lines. These materials are demonstrated to undergraduates who do not major in chemistry. Although their responses to the drawings are overall positive, some corrections and improvements to be made are pointed out by them. The educational significance of the visual tools for the microscopic world is discussed. |
