| 内容記述 | The balance scale is one of the most important science equipments for science education and it has a long history of more than 5000 years. In elementary science text books, there is a balance scale which has a history of about 300 years; but the principal of this scale is very difficult to understand, therefore it is very hard to make it with manual labor. We have been trying to improve the straw-balance which R. Okazaki made and making type I of it using daily household utensils. Type II of the straw-balance is a further developed version of type I of it. Type II of the straw-balance can weigh 0.25～60 mg/cm and it can be used in educational experiments from the elementary school through the university. | |||||||||
