| 内容記述 | The worm is 90 to 160 mm long by 1.5 to 2.5 mm broad (Table 1). The strobila is greater in thickness than that of the other chicken tapeworms. The scolex (Fig. 1) is globuia, 300 to 500 μ broad, with peculiar large retractile rostellum of 350 to 420 μ broad, bears a crown of about 300 hooklets, which are about 10 μ long, arranged in double rows. Four oval suckers, 110 to 160 μ long by 115 to 130 μ wide, are unarmed. The neck is very short and immediately becomes thicker and continues into the first segment. Genital pores irregularly alternate, one in each segment, located somewhat anterior to the middle of the lateral margin. Male genital organs (Fig. 2) : Cirrus pouch is ellipsoidal, 130 by 160 μ long by 60 to 80 μ wide, in which coiling penis is situated. Testes, 15 to 25 in number, are arranged behind the ovary, and the most of them lie in the aporous side of the latter part of each segment. Vas deferens is much coild before entering the base of the cirrus pouch. Female genital organs (Fig. 2) : The median ovary is irregular lobulater, lies in front of the testes. Yolk gland lies behind the ovary. In the senile segment, uterus increasing in size is divided into capsules, each containing a single egg.
