| 内容記述 | The experiments have been performed to investigate the change of the blood picture in goats during pregnancy. Blood samples were collected from the jugular vein with a syringe. These samples were used for the following tests: the counts of erythrocytes and leucocytes, haemoglobin content and differential counts of leucocytes. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1) The erythrocytes begin to increase in number day after day from about 100 days of pregnancy and the number reaches 16-18 millions in 1 c. mm. of the blood at the time of full 4 months of pregnancy. But the number of them dercase rapidly from about one week before parturition. On 10-15 days after parturition, it recovers to a normal value. 2) Haemoglobin content does not show a marked change during pregnancy, but it decreases slightly from just before parturition to 10-15 days after it. 3) The number of leucocytes does not show a marked change during pregnancy and at parturition, and the number of them may be counted to be 9,000 12,000 in 1 c. mm. of the blood and this is the normal value in goats. 4) It was found that there were no appreciable changes of the relation between the counts of leueoytes and those of neutrophile polynuclear leucocytes. | |||||||
