内容記述 | A methodological study was carried out,on the former application of x-ray powder diffraction technique,compared mainly with the technique of using polarization microscope,to archaeological pottery shard samples.Adopting the new method of sample preparation,the following are concluded. (1)It is possible to identify more certainly the mineral species,whose identification is difficult by the former "bulk" analysis,executing both the "grain" analysis and the "matrix" one. (2)It is to the analysis of mineral composition of pottery's matrix that x-ray powder diffraction technique should be applied,if one takes account of the amount of information which would be obtained through the polarization microscope technique. (3)Another subject of study is as follows,on which there is a possibility of application of x-ray powder diffraction technique.It is to presume the characteristic quality of material or the condition of firing,judged the extentto which the quality of material is amorphous. | |||||||
